Bay Harbor Launches AHA-Certified Stroke Recovery Program

Bay Harbor Post Acute and Healthcare Center has launched a specialized Stroke Recovery Program, becoming the first skilled nursing facility in Maryland to earn the American Heart Association® Skilled Nursing Facility Stroke Rehabilitation Certification. The program delivers evidence-based, individualized stroke rehabilitation designed to improve mobility, strength, communication, and cognitive function following hospitalization. Led by PM&R specialist Bethany Klopfer, APRN, FNP-C, the program supports stroke survivors through coordinated care from admission through discharge. The milestone coincides with a multi-million-dollar renovation modernizing the 305-bed Salisbury-based skilled nursing facility.
